Megan, an associate at Goehring, Rutter & Boehm, is a member of our School and Municipal Law Group.
She represents schools and municipalities in all matters of organization, finance, legal compliance, labor and employment litigation. She serves as a lead attorney in the firm’s delinquent tax practice where she supervises a team of paralegals and associates in the day-to-day practice of collection litigation.
Megan has recently been appointed as Solicitor of Conway Borough.
Megan is an active member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations. Recently, she has been elected to a year-long term as Vice-Chair of the Association of School and Municipal Solicitors. In 2008, Megan was appointed to a two-year term as a Board of Trustee member to the ACBA Municipal and School Solicitors Section. In the fall of 2009, Megan was appointed to a 2 year term as a Zone 12 Delegate to the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates, a legislative body that sets policies in the Pennsylvania legal community. She has also been appointed to the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Women in the Profession Committee.
In addition to her work for the Bar Associations, Megan volunteers with the Pro Bono Protection From Abuse Program through Neighborhood Legal Services of Pittsburgh.
Megan has been named as a 2008 and 2010 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star in the area of Government/Cities/Municipalities.
Megan graduated from Penn State University in 2001, earning a B.A. in History and French Communication. She continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she received her J.D. in 2004.
Megan is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania State Courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
